So the main drawback of the Galleon is the more complicated multi deck layout and the hit zones extending to the upper decks rather than only the main deck as on all the other large ships. While all other ships that have rear guns, these can be aimed with a lot more ease. The rear guns of the Galleon take expirienced crew and captain working together to be aimed. The front chaser canons are very far away from the special crate maeking it quite hard to load chain shot there.Ĥ. This goes in hand with supply runs being quite a shore compared to other ships on the Galleon just as maintaining the sails and so forth.ģ.
Only on the Galleon holes can turn up on the upper deck and in other rooms including two that are rarley used. It is only a slightly slower sink rate and the Galloen has the only real multi deck layout of all the ships. The Bombvessel is compensated by two mortars for extra firepower and the Brig can do swing broadsides to boost it's firepower.Ģ. The Galleon has the 2nd smallest Broadside. But the tricky thing is in the specifics. It seems the Galleon has a good gun count (on paar with the Cruiser and Xebec) and it seems it is a bit tanky and can defend from rear and chase very well. Galleon: Gun-Count: 20 (2 fron, 2 rear, 8 per side), 2 front anti sails, and technically slowest sink rate (of the large ships). Xebec: Gun-Count: 20 (9 per side, 2 rear), has 4 anti sails, 2 per side, is the fastest large ship (in pure speed not turn speed)īombvessel: Gun-Count: 16 (7 per side and 2 in front) has two (ship sized) mortars.
